Great Loop
Has anyone traveled the Great Loop Route or thought about it?

I think about it almost all of the time. It was a big part of my decision to build the SA.
I have done the ICW from Jacksonville, FL to Norfolk and the Tombigbee from Pickwick Lake to Mobile. In September I plan to do the Erie Canal from
Buffalo to the Hudson River. This winter I would like to get to FL and do more of the ICW. That leaves a lot of gaps and there are so many more
interesting places to go.
Right now I am anchored in a little creek off of the Mississippi River near Red Wing, MN. I started in Dubuque, IA and went to the northern navigable
end of the river and have about 10 more days to go south and then back to Dubuque.
By the way, the locks at upper and lower St. Anthony's Falls in Minneapolis are unbelievably beautiful. Well worth a trip!
